Why I changed My all Routine, and I am Happy!

Hello everyone and thanks for taking some time and read what I am about to say.

As you know, or if you are reading my blog for the first time, I will let you know, I am writing a blog every day, once per day. The reason that I am doing this, is because I want to prove myself that I am not a writer, to improve my creativity, and to set a goal and accomplish that goal.

So far, I am in my fourth day and I can see it’s not as easy as I thought, but I just need to let my thoughts flow and write, not thinking if someone will like it or no because, to be honest, that is the least of my concerns. But if someone likes it, great!

Today’s theme is my routine. My routine is not the greatest, but I consider I have great discipline, I care about what I put in my body, by trying to have a balanced routine. I care to make some exercise, even if not as much as I used to.

One thing that has been changing is the way I think, and have some role models in my life. I decided I want to know more about successful people, their story, their achievements, their upsets…

So, I started listening to podcasts and reading a lot. The ones I am following right now is the podcast of Rich Roll and reading two books, one from Tony Robinson and another from Seth Godin. Can’t tell you enough how much this is changing my perspective of things. Let me clarify first, the idea I have from success … For me, success its not the guy that shows up with a great car, hotwife, and big house … No, no, no! For me, success is someone that found his/her way of serving and is happy by doing it. For me, a successful person, found the real purpose of their life, and then they serve, they help, they guide … I think that is beautiful. And that is what I aspire. I want to be able to serve, to help, to orientate, and be happy by seeing other people happy when I help them.

So, after listening and reading on a daily basis my new role models, I start implementing some of their routine habits.

I (try to) wake up every day at 6 am, regardless weekday or weekend, and just stay in bed between 15 to 20 minutes, with my eyes open, and start to plan my day, without freaking out.

Then I will do a breathing technique from Wim Hoff, that takes around 15 minutes, I will do it for 30 days. I am now on my 7th day, and I am super satisfied with the results, which I will mention on my 30th day.

Only then I will stand up and wash my face, with cold cold cold water. Once I am not a runner, and it’s something that (for now) I really don’t like to do, I do 100 push-ups, and I start feeling my body and mind really awakening.

After the small exercise, I will prepare a small breakfast with a coffee. Till this time, I still haven’t touched my phone. Around 7 am I will open my laptop and find interesting articles, other in scoop.it or read a blog in medium, and I will give an opinion about what I’ve read and shared it on LinkedIn.

What I have noticed, is if I have to work, regardless the place or activity, that morning I will be super energized, and I also noticed when my colleagues are arriving with sleepy faces, seems that we are in a completely different level, which is true because the mindset is so different.

I will complete my work, and finish it still super energized, biking back home and willing to write a blog article about whatever I have the need to write. Today I wanted to write about this change I did in my routine, and that I am extremely happy about it.

After my writing, I will read for 30 minutes. Now, I am reading “All marketers are liars” from the great Seth Godin and super excited because I recently found that marketing is one of my passions.

When I finish my reading, I feel really complete and feel that I am doing something for myself, to be the best version of me, and that is a beautiful feeling.

Between 7 PM and 8 PM I will have my dinner, something soft and with vegetables, not that I became a vegetarian, but I try to have a balanced diet.

After my dinner, Its time for myself, I will just fall into the YouTube “rabbit hole” and watch everything it recommends me, YouTube knows me better than my mother, that is scary!

Before going to sleep, which I am trying to fall asleep at 10 PM, not an easy thing to do, once I was a bartender till a few months ago, but believe me, I am trying, I will do one more time, Wim Hof breathing exercise for 15 minutes, after the exercise, I feel super relaxed, and with my mind clear and ready to rest.

Well, guys, this is what my routine looks like, I can’t wait to share more results with you. I hope I can stay motivated enough to do it every day of my life, but if not, hope that step back will become a greater step forward.

Thank you very much for reading and see you soon!
